Hardware & Upholstery

Our collection of architectural hardware and upholstery fittings brings together practical details for traditional interiors, furniture making and restoration. From cabinet hinges and sash window fittings to upholstery buttons and turned hardwood furniture legs, these are the smaller elements that contribute to the character and function of a room.

Architectural Hardware

Traditional door and window fittings include solid brass cabinet hinges, door stops, cabin hooks, sash lifts, sash eye lifts and window catches. These are particularly suited to period properties, where the proportions, materials and finishes of the hardware are as important as their function.

Our collection includes unlacquered brass, raw bronze and aged bronze fittings. Unlacquered metals develop a natural patina through handling and exposure, allowing the hardware to acquire character over time.

Hooks, Brackets & Practical Fittings

The collection also includes cast bronze ceiling hooks, screw hooks, broom hooks, adjustable shelf brackets and stair handrail brackets.

These practical fittings can be used throughout the home, from kitchens and utility rooms to hallways, cupboards and studies. Their simple forms and traditional materials make them suitable for both period interiors and contemporary spaces where an understated architectural detail is wanted.

Smaller fittings, including screw eyes and cable guides, provide useful solutions for securing, hanging and organising everyday objects.

Upholstery & Furniture Details

Our sand-cast bronze upholstery buttons offer a decorative finishing detail for upholstered furniture, including stools, benches and window seats.

The collection also includes turned sapele hardwood furniture legs, suitable for upholstered ottomans and window seats. The warmth and grain of the timber complement traditional upholstery materials, including leather, linen and wool.

These elements are particularly useful when commissioning bespoke furniture or restoring an existing piece, where the right proportions and materials can make a significant difference to the finished result.

Materials & Craftsmanship

Much of our bronze hardware is sand-cast and hand-finished in Britain using traditional manufacturing methods. The casting process gives each piece a subtle texture and individuality that distinguishes it from mass-produced fittings.

Our preference is for honest materials and straightforward construction. Raw bronze, unlacquered brass, cast iron and natural hardwood are chosen for their appearance, durability and ability to age gracefully.

Whether replacing a single cabinet hinge, selecting hardware for a period renovation or adding the finishing details to bespoke furniture, this collection offers considered fittings designed to sit comfortably within the architecture of a home.
