Made from solid unlacquered brass, designed to develop a rich natural patina over time while providing the weight needed to keep blind cords and light pulls hanging neatly.

Design

A simple, traditional cord weight inspired by period window furnishings and architectural hardware. The weight unscrews into two parts, allowing it to be fitted to cords up to 2mm in diameter. The solid brass construction adds both function and visual presence, helping to keep cords tidy and easy to locate.

Style advice from Mark

If you're installing new Roman blinds, I would always pair these with the THE LEWIS CLEAT HOOK – UNLACQUERED BRASS. Both are made from the same unlacquered brass, creating a more considered and cohesive finish around the window. They also work beautifully as decorative light pulls in bathrooms, cloakrooms and utility spaces.

Installation

The weight unscrews into two sections for easy fitting onto the cord before being reassembled by hand. Suitable for cords up to 2mm in diameter.

Brown Cord

If you're looking for something a little more sympathetic than a harsh white cord running down the side of your window, we also stock a 2mm diameter fine round brown cord, as shown in the first two photographs. It is available for 25p per metre when purchased with one of our brass cord weights. It isn't currently available to buy directly through the website, so simply contact us after you've placed your order and we'll be happy to add it.

Finish Notes

Our unlacquered brass is left untreated, allowing it to age naturally. Over time, the surface will darken and develop character, creating a finish that feels authentic and in keeping with traditional interiors.
