Design

A simple, traditional cord weight inspired by period window furnishings and architectural hardware. The weight unscrews into two parts, allowing it to be fitted to cords up to 2mm in diameter. At 138g, the solid brass construction gives it enough weight to keep the cord hanging neatly while making it easy to find and use.

Style advice from Mark

If you're installing new Roman blinds, I would always pair these with The Lewis Cleat Hook – Unlacquered Brass. Both are made from the same unlacquered brass, creating a much more considered finish around the window. They also work beautifully as decorative light pulls in bathrooms, cloakrooms and utility spaces.

Installation

The weight unscrews into two sections for easy fitting onto the cord before being reassembled by hand. Suitable for cords up to 2mm in diameter.

Brown Cord

If you're looking for something a little more sympathetic than a harsh white cord running down the side of your window, we also stock a fine 2mm round brown cord, as shown in the first two photographs. It is available for 25p per metre when purchased with one of our brass cord weights. It isn't currently available to buy directly through the website, so simply contact us after placing your order and we'll be happy to add it.

Use Case

Designed primarily as a weight for Roman blind cords, keeping the cord hanging neatly and making it easy to locate and use. It can also be used as a solid brass decorative light pull.

Finish Notes

The solid brass is left raw and unlacquered so it can age naturally. It will gradually oxidise and mellow with exposure to air and touch, developing a deeper, richer patina over time.
