Made from solid sapele hardwood. These shelves are supplied as timber only. Shelf brackets are sold separately.

Design

A simple, honest timber shelf available in three thicknesses — 25mm, 32mm and 44mm. Designed to pair with our cast bronze bracket collection, each shelf is available in a choice of depths to suit different bracket projections.

Depth Options

15cm — suitable for our 4-inch brackets

25cm — suitable for our 8-inch brackets

30cm — suitable for our 10-inch brackets

35cm — suitable for our 12-inch brackets

Style advice from Mark

Follow the architecture of the room. Longer shelves work well as uninterrupted runs above worktops or wrapped around corners in a pantry. The 44mm shelf makes a confident statement as a single feature shelf, the 32mm offers a balanced, contemporary proportion, while the 25mm thickness feels lighter and is well suited to multiple shelves.

Installation

For alcove installations, use our Clam Brackets with two brackets at each end and additional brackets along the length where required, as shown in the photographs. For flat wall installations, pair the shelf with any of our cast bronze bracket designs. Brackets are sold separately. Supplied with brass screws.

Finish Notes

The solid sapele hardwood is supplied unfinished, allowing you to leave it natural or apply your preferred finish. Our preference is a clear wax, which protects the timber while preserving its natural colour and character. As with all solid timber, natural variation in colour and grain is part of what makes every shelf unique.
