Made from solid cast copper and individually hand-finished. The traditional casting process gives the surface a subtle texture and variation, while the natural copper will continue to change in tone and character as it ages.

Design

The Medium Gareth is a simple, well-proportioned 5-inch cabinet pull with a pared-back profile and the unusual warmth of solid copper. Its compact size makes it particularly suited to drawers and standard cupboard doors, while the weight and texture of the cast metal give it considerably more presence than a mass-produced handle.

Copper is such an interesting material for hardware because it starts with that distinctive warm colour and then changes completely as it ages. I particularly like this version of the Gareth against painted timber, darker woods and natural materials. The 5-inch size works beautifully on kitchen drawers and cupboard doors where you want the hardware to be noticeable without dominating the joinery.

Finish Notes

Copper is a living material and will naturally oxidise with exposure to air and touch. The initially warm copper colour will gradually deepen and develop a richer patina over time. Areas that are handled regularly may age differently from untouched areas, giving each handle an individual finish.
