• Style advice from Mark: This is the real thing, not a reproduction. It works beautifully in back-of-house spaces—pantries, boot rooms, utility areas—or anywhere you want hardware that feels completely at ease within older architecture or reclaimed joinery.

• Installation: A straightforward face-fixed pull handle suitable for doors, drawers, and cupboards. Supplied with brass screws.

• Condition: Supplied as original vintage stock. Expect signs of age, wear, and variation between pieces—these are part of the history and charm of the handle, not imperfections.

• Finish Notes: The cast iron has aged naturally over time, resulting in a dark, gently worn surface. No two pieces are identical, and the finish will continue to evolve subtly with use.

• Size Information: A well-balanced, medium-weight pull suitable for cupboard doors and drawers, particularly where a more robust and utilitarian fitting is appropriate.

• Provenance: These handles trace back to Thomas Brothers, a long-standing ironmongers at 798–804 Holloway Road in Archway, London. Established in 1920, the shop served the surrounding Victorian buildings and terraces for nearly a hundred years before eventually closing. We acquired a full crate of 500 handles from the closing down sale—this was everything that remained. Fewer than 100 now remain. When they’re gone, we won’t be finding more.
