Design

Classic grid-pattern air bricks available in two formats: the traditional Double 6 × 9 inch and the larger Square 9 × 9 inch. Both are designed to provide effective ventilation while staying true to original period detailing.

Style advice from Mark

For most Victorian and Georgian properties, the 6 × 9 inch Double is the standard choice. Where façades are grander or a stronger visual statement is needed, the 9 × 9 inch Square adds presence without compromising authenticity.

Finish Notes

Cast iron air bricks should generally be painted, ideally prior to installation, to protect them from rapid weathering. Left unpainted, the iron will quickly oxidise when exposed to the elements, developing a rich surface patina and an authentic, timeworn appearance that blends seamlessly with historic brickwork.
