Style advice from Mark: I designed this door knob for period properties where modern ironmongery often feels out of place. The ebonised wood works beautifully against almost any paint colour, from deep greens and blues through to softer off-whites and stone colours. If installing this door knob on a new door, I would always ask your contractor to use a 5-inch latch. This positions the knob further away from the door frame, preventing scraped knuckles and creating the more generous proportions commonly found in older houses.
