Wardrobe Rail System

A Wardrobe Rail System Made to Last

A wardrobe rail is a simple piece of hardware, but its materials, proportions and fittings can make a considerable difference to the finished room. Our wardrobe rail system combines solid sapele hardwood rails with sand-cast bronze brackets, creating a practical and attractive solution for wardrobes, dressing rooms, bedrooms and open clothes storage.

Designed as a collection of individual components, the system can be adapted to different spaces, from a single rail between two walls to longer arrangements beneath timber shelving.

Solid Sapele Hardwood Rails

The wardrobe rails are made from solid sapele hardwood, chosen for its strength, warm colour and attractive grain. Timber provides a pleasing alternative to conventional metal hanging rails and works particularly well alongside painted joinery, natural wood and traditional cabinetry.

The rails can be cut to suit the available space, making them suitable for both fitted wardrobes and more individual storage arrangements.

Sand-Cast Bronze Wall Sockets

Our Wardrobe Rail Wall Sockets provide a straightforward way to install a rail between two opposing walls or within a wardrobe cabinet.

Made in Britain from sand-cast bronze, the sockets are hand-finished and supplied with the character of the casting process intact. Their simple circular shape keeps the fitting discreet while allowing the natural warmth of the bronze to complement the timber rail.

Suspended and End Brackets

Where a rail is installed beneath a shelf or other horizontal surface, our suspended brackets provide support from above.

The Wardrobe Rail Suspended Bracket is designed for intermediate support along a rail, while the Wardrobe Rail End Bracket provides a corresponding fixing at the end of an installation.

These fittings are particularly useful in dressing rooms and open wardrobe arrangements where the hanging rail forms part of a larger shelving system.

Wardrobe Brackets and Shelving

Our cast bronze Wardrobe Brackets offer another approach to combining shelving and hanging storage. They allow a timber shelf and wardrobe rail to work together as one arrangement, providing space for folded clothing or shoes above and hanging garments below.

The smaller 2-inch Wardrobe Bracket offers a more compact fixing where appropriate.

Planning Your Wardrobe Rail

When planning an installation, consider the overall length of the rail, the weight of the clothing and the construction of the supporting walls or cabinetry. Longer rails may require an additional central support to prevent movement or sagging.

The combination of solid hardwood and hand-finished bronze gives the system a quiet, architectural quality. Whether used within fitted joinery or left exposed in a dressing room, each component is designed to be both useful and visually considered.
