Wall Brackets

Wall Brackets – Form and Function

A well-designed bracket should do more than support a shelf. It should feel like a considered part of the room, with the right proportions, material and finish for its surroundings. Our collection of wall brackets brings together traditional designs in cast bronze, brass and cast iron, suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living spaces.

Cast Bronze Shelf Brackets

Our cast bronze brackets are made in Britain using traditional sand-casting techniques and finished by hand. The casting process gives each piece a subtle texture and character that is difficult to reproduce with modern mass-produced fittings.

The Strong Boy brackets, available in 8-inch and 10-inch sizes, have a gently curved profile suited to open shelving in kitchens, pantries and utility rooms. The larger 12-inch Pantry Bracket provides support for deeper shelves, while retaining the same traditional appearance.

For smaller shelves, our Little Chap brackets offer a more discreet solution. Available in 2-inch, 4-inch and 6-inch sizes, they work particularly well with narrow timber shelves, bookshelves and small display areas.

Brackets for Different Applications

Not every bracket is intended for shelving. Our cast bronze Sink Brackets are designed to support wall-mounted basins and are available in small, medium and large sizes.

The collection also includes Cistern Brackets for traditional bathroom fittings and Stair Handrail Brackets for securing timber handrails to the wall.

Our Clam Wall Bracket has a compact, rounded form that works particularly well beneath timber shelves where a smaller fitting is preferred.

Brass and Traditional Finishes

Alongside cast bronze, we offer Brass Fold Brackets in left- and right-hand versions, with a simple geometric profile suitable for bookshelves and contemporary joinery.

Our adjustable brass shelf brackets provide another option where a more restrained appearance is required.

The Green, Brown and Grey brackets introduce darker finishes, while the cast iron Strong Boy offers an alternative to bronze for traditional shelving.

Choosing the Right Bracket

The depth of the shelf, its intended use and the construction of the wall should all be considered when selecting brackets. A shelf carrying books, crockery or other heavy objects will require different support from one displaying a few lightweight pieces.

Bracket spacing and suitable wall fixings are equally important. The aim is to create shelving that feels secure, well proportioned and visually integrated into the room.

From small display shelves to substantial kitchen shelving, these traditional fittings combine practical support with the character of carefully made architectural hardware.
