Original Paintings, Framed Prints and Works on Paper
Our Fine Art collection brings together a carefully selected range of original paintings, framed prints and works on paper. Chosen for their individual character, colour and composition, these pieces reflect our approach to interiors: a preference for objects with personality, craftsmanship and a sense of history.
The collection includes expressive landscape paintings, traditional wildlife illustrations and works by established artists, offering a variety of subjects and styles for both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Original Landscape Paintings
Landscape painting forms an important part of the collection, with works exploring the changing qualities of light, weather and the natural environment.
Paintings by Erica Kirkpatrick include Abstract Landscape I, Abstract Landscape III, Abstract Landscape IV and Trees. Her expressive brushwork and atmospheric use of colour capture the character of the landscape without relying on precise representation.
These paintings work particularly well in interiors where natural materials, understated colours and individual works of art contribute to a relaxed and collected atmosphere.
The collection also includes Beach Huts (2007) by Johan Andersson, a coastal composition with a distinctive sense of light and space.
Wildlife and Natural History Prints
Our framed fauna prints feature traditional illustrations of spotted cats, combining the appeal of natural history artwork with decorative framing.
The collection includes Fauna Print, Spotted Cat I, Spotted Cat II and Spotted Cat III.
Their detailed animal illustrations, warm colours and carefully chosen frames make them particularly suitable for studies, libraries, sitting rooms and other interiors where traditional artwork adds interest and character.
Historic and Collected Works
Alongside contemporary paintings and decorative prints, the collection includes works with a more historical character.
Morning Haze in Chichester Harbour (1922) by Sir Frank Short RA is an atmospheric coastal scene, while A Copse of Silver Birch Trees by R. Keenan offers a quieter interpretation of the natural landscape.
Together, these works demonstrate the variety of artistic approaches represented in the collection.
Art for Considered Interiors
At Mark Lewis Interior Design, we believe that artwork should feel personal rather than simply decorative.
An individual painting can introduce colour, atmosphere and a sense of place, while a carefully framed print can bring historical interest to a room.
Our Fine Art collection is selected with this in mind, offering distinctive pieces for interiors that develop character through thoughtful choices made over time.
